Zimbabwean Music Promoter Ishmael Nkata Shot Dead In Cape Town 

Cape Town-based Zimbabwean music promoter Ishmael Nkata who was popularly known as Mandebvu was shot dead last night.

According to Earground, Mandebvu was the owner of a venue called The Gardens where most Zimbabwean artists did live events in Cape Town, South Africa.

Earlier this year it was reported that someone was shot at the venue and he temporarily closed it, but he had just reopened the spot last weekend.

Announcing the reopening of the venue, the popular Zimbabwean promoter was excited to be back in business again. He had promised an exciting experience for all patrons.

Ishmael Nkata wrote:

Your summer weekends won’t be the same again! We have an exciting outdoor entertainment experience in store for you all. 

The motive behind his killing is yet to be known.
The death of Ishmael has plunged the entertainment community at home and abroad into mourning.

Family and friends took to Ishmael Nkata’s official Facebook page to pay their last respects.

Zimdancehll artist Nutty O also took to Facebook platform and he wrote:

MET THIS BROTHER ONCE, I COULDN’T DOUBT HIS WORK ETHIC, THIS IS WHAT HE WROTE AFTER WE LOCKED A SHOW AT HIS VENUE…. DON’T KNOW WHATS GOING ON IN THIS WORLD, WE KEEP LOSING THE REAL FRONT LINERS
