Early Life and Struggles

Themba Gorimbo, the Zimbabwean mixed martial artist, was born on January 23, 1991, in the small district of Bikita in Eastern Zimbabwe. Tragedy struck early in his life when he lost his mother at the age of nine and his father four years later. With the responsibility of taking care of his siblings, he turned to illegal diamond digging in local fields to make ends meet.

One fateful night, while trying to evade the police, Gorimbo faced a harrowing experience as he was attacked by German shepherds, leaving him with scars all over his body. Determined to change his life, he made a bold decision to leave Zimbabwe in 2008 and illegally set camp in South Africa at the age of 17.
