Cheating Allegations
Sonja Madzikanda has made accusations of infidelity and mistreatment against her husband, Wicknell Chivayo. In a series of videos, she detailed an encounter with one of Chivayo’s alleged mistresses just hours before the 2018 Miss World Zimbabwe pageant. She also claimed that Chivayo’s sisters advised her to forgive him, but she vehemently opposed the idea. Furthermore, she accused them of sending her voice notes, urging her to change her ways.
In response, Chivayo’s sister, Moe Chivayo, openly expressed her opposition to the marriage from the very beginning. She dismissed Madzikanda’s claims of infidelity as fabrications and referred to her as a ‘gold digger’ suffering from schizophrenia. Moe also rebutted Sonja’s accusations of black magic being used on her son.
Black Magic Allegations
In March 2021, Wicknell Chivayo’s sister, Moe Chivayo, alleged that Sonja and Wicknell’s son, John, was suffering from autism and couldn’t speak despite being three years old. In response, Sonja Madzikanda accused Chivayo’s family of employing black magic against her child. However, Moe Chivayo vehemently denied these allegations and urged her sister-in-law to seek medical assistance for her son.
Paternity Test
Sonja Madzikanda also shed light on why she had a paternity test conducted on her son with Chivayo when he was born. She explained that her son was born in the United States, where Chivayo could only stay for two weeks due to business commitments. Consequently, Sonja had to take charge of all the paperwork required for John’s passport and NI number. Given the different names on the birth certificate (John Chivayo) and her legal name (Sonja Madzikanda), a paternity test was deemed necessary to establish Wicknell as John’s biological father.
