Club Coaching Career

Black Rhinos

In May 2023, Saul Chaminuka took over as the head coach of Black Rhinos, succeeding Stanford “Stix” Mutizwa, who transitioned to a technical advisor role after a significant 4-0 defeat to Manica Diamonds at Gibbo Stadium. This loss had left Mutizwa with just one victory out of seven matches. Assisting Chaminuka were Christopher Mwanza, formerly of Manica Diamonds, and Maxwell Nyamupanedengu as the goalkeepers’ coach.

Green Fuel

By May 2024, Chaminuka was appointed the head coach of Green Fuel, a Premier Soccer League club based in Chisumbanje. He succeeded Rodwell Dhlakama, who was dismissed when the team was tenth in the league with nine points. Chaminuka’s prior role was with Bikita Minerals, a team new to the top-flight, which he joined at the beginning of the 2024 season. Under his guidance, Bikita Minerals reached 9th place with 13 points, just two points behind Green Fuel.

National Team Coaching Experience

Saul Chaminuka has also made significant contributions to the Zimbabwe national team, the Warriors. From 2015 to 2017, he served as an assistant coach under Callisto Pasuwa, working alongside Mkhuphali Masuku and goalkeepers’ trainer Richard Tswatswa. In May 2024, the ZIFA Normalisation Committee appointed him as one of the interim assistant coaches to Jairos Tapera.
