Background

Sakhile Dube’s early life was marked by hardship, as she lost her parents when she was still very young. Despite these challenges, she has risen to prominence in the modelling world.

Education

Dube pursued higher education at the Women’s University in Africa, where she earned a degree in psychology. Additionally, she received professional training in modelling from the Size 4 Modelling Agency.

Modelling Career

Sakhile Dube’s modelling career began with significant achievements. In 2015, she won the Miss Inyathi pageant in Bulawayo. She gained further recognition in 2018 when she was named the Face of Zimbabwe Fashion Week (ZFW).

Her international debut came in 2019 when she represented Zimbabwe at the Miss Africa International pageant in Cairo, Egypt. She also became the brand ambassador for Brayzz Africa in 2017 and later for Cinderella, a prominent hair brand.

Throughout her career, Dube has participated in numerous pageants, securing titles such as Miss Tourism Zimbabwe 2020, Miss Earth Zimbabwe 2022, Miss Supranational Africa, and Supra Top Model in 2023. Her notable achievements continued as she won the Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2024 in May, surpassing 17 other contestants. This victory qualified her to represent Zimbabwe at the Miss Universe pageant in Mexico. As part of her prize, she received a Mercedes-Benz C200 (2020 model) and $10,000 in cash, which she has generously decided to share with her fellow contestants, Lisa Sibanda (first princess) and Ruvimbo Njomboro (second princess).

Philanthropy

In 2021, Sakhile Dube established the Zibusiso Foundation, aiming to support orphaned and vulnerable children in Zimbabwe. The foundation focuses on mentorship programs, vocational training, and sustainable projects to help these children achieve self-sufficiency and better futures.
