The journey of Chitiyo’s club career commenced with Douglas Warriors F.C., a platform where his talents flourished. Subsequently, he graced Monomotapa United, culminating in a notable second runner-up position in the 2012 Soccer Star of the Year award.

Brushes with the Law

While Chitiyo’s prowess on the field is undeniable, his journey has been marred by off-field controversies. In January 2018, he faced legal repercussions following an altercation with a neighbor in Epworth over financial matters. Additionally, a tumultuous incident in November 2019 involving alleged altercations with a Premier Soccer League security officer and Chicken Inn officials cast shadows on his otherwise illustrious career. However, Chitiyo, alongside his teammates, was exonerated of assaulting a referee by the Premier Soccer League disciplinary committee in December 2019 after settling admission of guilt fines.
