Vanessa Gayle Sibanda, widely known as Queen Vee, is a remarkable Zimbabwean talent who has captured hearts both as a model and a musician. Rising to prominence after securing the prestigious Miss Zimbabwe title in 2008, she has since become an icon, inspiring countless individuals.
Age
Queen Vee was born on September 19, 1988. At present, she is 35 years old.
Education
Queen Vee began her educational journey at Kadoma Primary School. She furthered her studies at Queen Elizabeth Girls High School in Harare for her secondary education. Following her victory as Miss Tourism Zimbabwe in 2008, she obtained a Marketing and Public Relations Diploma.
Early Modelling Contests
Her passion for modelling ignited at an early age. In 1997, while in grade 4, she participated in her first modelling competition, vying for the title of Miss Kadoma Primary School. This enthusiasm persisted, leading her to win titles like Miss Queen Elizabeth in 2003 and Miss Harare Junior in 2006.
Pursuit of Miss Zimbabwe
Despite finishing in the top ten at the 2007 Miss Zimbabwe Tourism pageant, Vanessa’s determination to become Miss Zimbabwe remained unshaken. Her dedication bore fruit in 2008 when she claimed the prestigious Miss Zimbabwe crown at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC). The event was embellished with performances by renowned artists like Madiz, Tongai Moyo, and Suluman Chimbetu.
Miss World Pageant
Vanessa represented Zimbabwe at the 2008 Miss World Pageant, making it to the esteemed top 15 contestants. She showcased her beauty and talents on a global platform, leaving a lasting impression.
Success in the Top Model of the World Event
In 2011, Vanessa’s journey of success continued as she earned the title of Second Princess at the Top Model of the World Event.

In 2010, Queen Vee ventured into the music industry under the mentorship of Buffalo Souljah, a believer in her potential. Her debut single, “Hey Lover,” took the music scene by storm, gaining popularity on prominent channels like DSTV’s Channel O and MTV Base. She collaborated with esteemed South African artists including Da Les, AB Crazy, L-Tido, and Ziyon from Liquid Deep.
