Early Life
Pokello Nare was born to Bessy Muzvidzwa and Retired Colonel George Nare. Her family hails from the Manama Area in rural Gwanda, Matabeleland South, and she has a sister named Takudzwa Dube. Her father has other children named Lerato, Teboho, and Uratile.

Education
Pokello attended Alexandra Park Primary School for her primary education and later enrolled in Kyle College in Masvingo for her secondary education. She pursued Business Management and Media at Monash University in South Africa. At Monash, she showcased her leadership skills and became the first woman to hold the social coordinator position on campus.
Rise to Fame
Pokello Nare’s path to fame took an unconventional turn when a bedroom tape of her kissing and being intimate with her ex-boyfriend, Desmond ‘Stunner’ Chideme, was leaked. Despite the distressing experience, the incident catapulted her into the limelight. Subsequently, she participated in the Big Brother Africa reality show in 2013, where she met Elikem Kumordzie.

Elikem Kumordzie, whom Pokello met during the filming of Big Brother Africa, proposed to her on live television. The couple got married traditionally in Zimbabwe in 2015 and had two children together before divorcing in 2018. Following their separation, Pokello faced public scrutiny due to a social media post, sparking a debate about her morals.
At the launch of the She Roars Brand program to empower young women at the University of Zimbabwe, Pokello spoke about her marriage to Elikem Kurmodzie. She expressed her determination to prove that she is still “wife material” despite her past scandals and mistakes. While there are rumours that she is married to one of President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s sons, she keeps her personal life private.

Pokello’s passion for fashion dates back to her school days when she tutored to earn money for her wardrobe. Eventually, she opened her own stores in Harare, including the upmarket boutique Addicted 2 Shoes at Sam Levy’s Village, specializing in shoe sales.
In 2014, Pokello launched her shoe brand, Pink Bottoms, featuring three lines: Big Brother Africa The Chase, Size Me Up, and Spell My Name. Designed with African women in mind, her shoes combine style with comfort.
