Peter Ndlovu, a renowned Zimbabwean professional football player, has left an indelible mark on the sport. Born on February 25, 1973, in Bulawayo, Ndlovu’s journey in football has been nothing short of remarkable. As he celebrates his 50th year, his legacy continues to shine brightly.

Rise to Stardom

Ndlovu embarked on his football odyssey in 1988, joining the Highlanders Football Club in his homeland, Zimbabwe. His exceptional skills and dedication quickly propelled him to prominence, catching the attention of Coventry City in England, which he joined in 1991. During his time in the Premier League, Ndlovu dazzled, amassing over 200 appearances and netting an impressive 45 goals.

Faith and Challenges

Beyond the football pitch, Ndlovu is an active member of the Apostolic Faith Mission of Zimbabwe, a Pentecostal church deeply rooted in his country. His devoutness and regular attendance at church services exemplify his strong faith.

In 2020, tragedy struck when Ndlovu was involved in a car accident in Zimbabwe, resulting in the unfortunate demise of his brother, Adam Ndlovu. Although initially charged with culpable homicide, the charges were eventually dropped due to insufficient evidence.

Notable for his football prowess, Ndlovu’s personal life has also garnered attention. He was formerly married to gospel artist Sharon Dee, with their marriage coming to an end in November 2009 due to his infidelity. Reports indicated that Sharon Dee requested financial support for their children.

With a significant family, Ndlovu is the father of 13 children. However, recent reports highlighted his struggles to meet his maintenance obligations, leading to legal proceedings to adjust the payment arrangements.

Commencing his professional journey with the Highlanders Football Club, he swiftly rose as a star player. His stints in English clubs like Coventry City, Sheffield United, and Huddersfield Town showcased his prolific goal-scoring abilities.
