Musa Ncube hails from Mhlabangubo (Mambanjeni), Tsholotsho Ward 13. Her lineage boasts a history of resistance against colonial encroachment, notably through her great-grandfather, Ntuta, a formidable chief who staunchly opposed the incursion of settlers in Zimbabwe. Despite his efforts, he was ultimately displaced from his ancestral land. Ncube derives inspiration from her uncle, Jini Enock Ntuta, a fervent nationalist, mediator, and entrepreneur, renowned for his defiance against colonial forces from the ZAPU and ZIPRA factions.

Political Career

Ncube’s journey in politics has been marked by active engagement and diverse roles within the Zanu PF party. Notably, in February 2020, she represented the ZANU PF Women’s League at the Pan African Women’s Organisation PAWO Congress in Namibia, showcasing her commitment to pan-African initiatives.

In January 2022, Ncube clinched victory in the Zanu-PF primary elections, securing her position as the party’s candidate for the Tsholotsho South Constituency by-elections. Her triumph in the subsequent by-elections held in March 2022 solidified her standing as a representative of Zanu PF.

Beyond her political endeavours, Musa Ncube has played a pivotal role in the establishment and leadership of Tilba (Tsholotsho International Business Association), a platform dedicated to bolstering and empowering small enterprises through multifaceted support.
