This is the biography of Mike Madoda, a celebrated Zimbabwean sportscaster, event MC, marketer and sports administrator.

Early Life and Education

Mike Madoda, born on January 1, 1981, exhibited an early passion for sports and media. He pursued his academic journey at the University of Zimbabwe, earning a Bachelor of Arts in History, Theology, and Theatre Arts in 2002.

Professional Career

Mike Madoda began his broadcasting career in 2005 at ZBC, the national broadcaster. His engaging commentary and extensive sports knowledge quickly made him a prominent figure on television, where he worked until 2017.

During his tenure at ZBC, Mike also excelled as a producer, contributing to popular TV shows like CBZ A-Academy and CIMAS International Sport in the early 2000s. His knack for creating captivating content established him as a significant player in the media industry.

In April 2017, Mike transitioned to radio, taking on the role of producer-presenter for ZiFM Sport, a renowned radio sports magazine program. His vibrant on-air personality solidified his reputation as a leading sportscaster in Zimbabwe.

Mike’s career reached new heights in 2017 when he joined SuperSport, anchoring their live coverage of the Castle Lager Premiership. This role expanded his reach to a wider audience across the continent.

Beyond broadcasting, Mike co-founded Columbus Communications Group with fellow sportscaster Barry Manandi. Together, they also co-own Golden Eagles FC, a club in the ZIFA Northern Region Division 2.

Personal Life

Mike is a dedicated Christian and serves as a pastor at Celebration Ministries International. He is married and a father to two sons. His enthusiasm for sports is evident in his personal life, where he passionately supports Liverpool FC and Highlanders Football Club.
