“That Was Fast”: Maid (19) Who Abducted Baby And Stole Employer’s Car Nabbed
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has arrested Kimberly Ncube, a 19-year-old girl who was employed as a housemaid in Paddonhurst suburb, Bulawayo on allegations of kidnapping her employer’s toddler and stealing the family’s car.
Ncube reportedly kidnapped her employer’s one-year eight-month-old son and also stole the family’s vehicle which was parked at their house on Monday.
Posting on their official Twitter page this Tuesday, ZRP said both the child and vehicle were recovered. Police said:
The ZRP confirms the arrest of a maid, Kimberley Ncube (19) in connection with cases of kidnapping a baby boy (1 year 8 months) and theft of a white Sedan BMW 328i vehicle, registration number AEA 8833 which occurred on 31/10/22 at her employer’s residence along Mackenzie Road, Paddonhurst. The arrest led to the recovery of the stolen vehicle and the reunion of the baby with his family.
It has not yet been revealed where the maid was found with the child or the motive behind the abduction.
Responding to the Twitter post, many social media users thanked the police officers for their swift reaction in the matter.
Earlier, ZRP deputy spokesperson in Bulawayo Province, Assistant Inspector Nomalanga Msebele issued a statement appealing for information from the public to locate the child.
