Jah Prayzah has walked away with five awards at the National Arts Merits Awards held in Bulawayo this evening. He was named the Best Male Artist, Best Song, Album and Video. He also took home the coveted People’s Choice Award. Clad in his trademark camouflage Jah Prayzah also performed on the night. The show was screened on ZTV and the organisation was okay but playing South African music did not sit well with many Zimbabweans. Speeches were long and tested people’s patience. Enock Chihombori was emotional on stage when he spoke about how piracy has ruined the arts.

Jah Prayzah Outstanding female musician is Olivia Charamba Arts personality award goes to Oliver Mtukudzi Outstanding Screen Production (Full Length Film) award goes to Gringo theTrouble maker by Enock Chihombori Outstanding Actor in Film and TV is Nash Mphepho in Decoder Outstanding Actress in Film and TV is Eunice Tava in Sinners The Outstanding Female Dancer is Maylene Chenjerai of Tumbuka

The Outstanding Choreographer award goes to Sean Mabwere of Rolex Dance Crew #NAMA2014 Best Outstanding Group is 8 Count Dance Crew The Outstanding Comedian is Simba The Comic King Outstanding Fiction Book award goes to 2 pple Imbwa Yemhunu by Ignatious Mabasa n Branching Streams by Charles Mungoshi
